ARTIST STATEMENT
The truth of a story lies in the details. As a commercial illustrator for over 31 years, the detail scratchboard allows in the sharing of a visual narrative has never failed to thrill me. The texture, precision, and the nostalgic feel of the medium draws me in. I get lost in the work. I love what I do. I’m a fifth generation artist, working for Fortune 500 companies nationwide with artwork in the permanent collections of both the U.S. Capitol and Iowa State University. I am the official portrait artist for the Washington Huskies Hall of Fame and have designed for the U.S. Mint.
